RCEF Issues 35 Micro-Credit Loans to Mothers

Rwanda Children Educational Foundation – Mothers receive business loans.

RCEF conducted 35 loans this week through its Rotary Global Grant.

This past week RCEF made 35 second cycle loans through the Rotary Micro-credit Grant helping the parents of our children develop and expand their businesses.

These 35 ladies have successfully paid back their first loans that they obtained in 2020. These second loans will help them make their businesses even more successful.

Each loan recipient took a refresher course about their responsibility concerning the loans. They met at the SACCO Bank to receive the loan which was deposited in their own bank account.

The ladies are happy to re-invest in their businesses. The businesses include: sewing, selling vegetables, other food stores and flour-making.

Our RCEF mothers are hard-working ladies, and they are delighted with the opportunity to be successful businesswomen.

Thanks to all of you who are sponsoring an RCEF child. You are not only giving your child an education, school supplies, uniforms, and health insurance, but you provide their families with supplemental food and an opportunity to start or expand their business through the Rotary Micro-finance Program.

The mission of RCEF is to give hope and bright futures to vulnerable children and youth in Rwanda.
