Rwanda Children Educational Foundation – The Blessing of Multiplication
Rwanda Children Educational Foundation sponsors vulnerable children and families in distress.
The families of the sponsored children receive supplemental food, and they are eligible for a micro-finance loan to start or expand their business.
The following story demonstrates how your sponsorship generosity can be multiplied:
Aline and her widowed mother were very poor. Through RCEF Aline was sponsored in school, and this sponsorship changed their lives.
As a secondary student, Aline had her boarding school fees paid. She received personal hygiene supplies and was given a small amount of pocket money each semester.
Aline’s mother was eligible to apply for a micro-finance loan through a partnership grant RCEF has with Rotary International.
Along with two other mothers, her mother made a business plan and successfully secured a loan. The ladies started a business of making flour from Cassava roots. This business has been very successful, and the ladies employ approximately 25 additional workers.
Aline wanted to start a micro-business herself. Her mother was able to provide her the startup money to sell shoes in a small stand in downtown Kigali. Aline is now able to earn her own money.
As we stated in a recent post, Aline was a good student and has graduated from her school. She has recently been awarded a scholarship to attend the College of Agricultural and Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine on the outskirts of Kigali.
All this started with Kingdom Facilitators sponsoring Aline through their donations to RCEF.
RCEF received a Rotary Micro-finance Grant and helped families like hers start a business.
Proceeds from the businesses provide food and resources for the family and other beneficiaries.
New business ventures are initiated creating a new cycle of success.
Giving produces outcomes which prosper both the present and future generations.
The mission of RCEF is to give hope and bright futures to vulnerable children and youth in Rwanda.
