RCEF Families Receive Food before Covid Shutdown

RCEF Families Receive Emergency Food Before Shutdown

This past Thursday, a two-week shut down for the Rwanda people started. There has been an increase in the Covid-19 cases in Rwanda, and the Government has issued a stay-at-home order.

RCEF is thankful for the two-day notice of this shutdown. Our staff immediately rented a truck and bought maize flour, beans, rice, cooking oil and soap for our families, as they will not be able to earn money to purchase food. The Government will reassess the situation in two weeks.

Our parents were very thankful for the food. It is a difficult time for them, but with food it is tolerable.

Thank you for supporting RCEF students. Without your generosity this aid would not be possible.
