Rwanda Children Education Foundation Executive Director, Jeanine Mukarubega, is in Rwanda now to check on our children, their families and the family micro- businesses.
RCEF distributed relief food to all our families being careful to keep social distancing. Rwanda is opening up after the Covid-19 quarantine, but our poor families still need much help.
Jeanine spent time visiting the sewing business and talking to other micro-business owners to encourage them. RCEF has provided additional financial aid to these businesses during this difficult time of extensive flooding and Covid restrictions. See the picture of “helping hands” as RCEF gave out aid money to micro-loan recipients.
We continue to assist our families who have had to move out of the flood areas to find new and affordable housing. It’s a very difficult task.
Schools plan start up in September. The children are anxious to get back to their studies and friends.
