Rwanda Children Education Foundation Sewing School graduated ten students.
In February of 2019, with donated money, RCEF purchased equipment, rented a storefront room, hired a teacher and choose ten students. This was the start of a Sewing School!
Six months later we had our first graduation. All ten of our RCEF mothers graduated. They were awarded a certificate of completion in tailoring.
These ten mothers walked to school daily and spent five hours per day for five days a week learning how to sew. This was hard work on their part. We are proud of them.
These ladies now are eligible to obtain a Rotary Global Grant loan to start their own business.
Aime, from the Kigali Rotary, and Alice, RCEF Board Member, passed out the certificates. Alice was also interview by Rwanda Television.
RCEF still owns all the equipment and will start the next six month course immediately.
We have money to cover two thirds of the cost of the next six month course.
We are so thankful. Please follow us on RwandaCEF.org.
Together we are making a difference!
