In January 2023 Rwanda Children Education Foundation began construction of a medical clinic to benefit the people of Bugesera District in Rwanda.
We have finished the exterior of the clinic and now are working on the interior.
We have purchased ceramic tiles, special vinyl flooring and bathroom fixtures. These are being shipped to us now.
Why are we building a clinic?
There is no large clinic to help the sick near this village where many of our sponsored students live. Our primary goal is to provide hope and bright futures for boys and girls. This clinic will help ensure their health and safety.
Families need to walk for miles to the nearest clinic and wait in line for hours to see a doctor. Sometimes they are unable to see any medical personnel and must return home to try again another day.
The people in Bugesera suffered very much during the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994. They felt that God had abandoned them, but of course He did not.
RCEF has constructed 13 safe and secure housing units in Bugesera plus a church, and now the clinic is underway.
