Update on our Micro-Finance Projects

ADVANCES MADE WITH MICRO-FINANCE

Sewing Class:

Rwanda Children Education Foundation Staff reports that at the end of the third week of Sewing Class, the mothers are still excited about learning how to sew, embroider and create items to sell.

Thanks to donations from you, we are now paying for bus transportation to the class for the mothers who live far away. The mothers then walk the distance home. Classes begin at 8:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM.

RCEF is very pleased with the skills that are being imparted to the students and with their overall progress.

Motorbike Taxis:

Thanks to Kingdom Facilitators of Bronx, NY, we have two Motorbike Taxis that generate income to help six single mothers. There is a company that manages these taxis for RCEF. Each month they pay us for the motorbikes with profit, then the profit is divided among these six parents.

Our staff has reported that the company is doing a good job managing this project. Each month the six mothers come to the office to collect their money. This is the first time that these ladies have a consistent source of income.

The Mission of RCEF is to give hope and bright futures to vulnerable children and youth in Rwanda. By providing training and financial opportunities for these parents we are accomplishing these goals. We are grateful to you for your support.
