Paul’s First Day at School

Paul’s father died from HIV. His mother and brother have HIV, but we are happy to report that Paul is healthy.  When his mother was asked what her biggest burden was, she answered, “to raise enough money for rent and food”. She also stated that the only people who cared about her was RCEF.

Paul’s brother, Yves, has had a sponsor for the last 3 years. When the sponsor heard the family’s story, she said that she would also sponsor Paul. In addition, the sponsor gave a gift to help with the rent and food for this family.

Paul, age 5, started in the Nursery Program at Kigali Christian Academy on January 14th. As you can see by the smile on Paul’s face, he is thrilled to have this opportunity to go to school.

We have more students who need sponsors:  Primary Grade sponsorship is $325 and Secondary Boarding School sponsorship is $975 annually.

You can help by sponsoring students or sharing this story with your friends on social media.  Click the donate button at the bottom of this page.

Together we are making a difference!
