Jeanine Mukarubega, RCEF Executive Director, is now home from Rwanda. She stayed there for three weeks working diligently for the RCEF students.
The Christmas Party was a huge success for our children. RCEF was planning a two-day event, but we were having so much fun it was extended to a three-day event.
The party took place at a church campground where there was a large kitchen. Each day the children received a dinner meal.
We want to share with you what we did the first day.
Mugisha is a RCEF Volunteer, and his talent is teaching children life lessons through games.
As you can see in one of the pictures below a young man is blindfolded and being guided through a maze by listening to the voices around him directing the path he should take.
Also we had fisbee games. The children (and Mugisha) had never seen a frisbee before, but it took no time at all for them to catch on.
Of course the children enjoyed the balloons you all sent to them. Below you will see Asita (Jeanine’s daughter) enjoying time with the children.
Day two and Day three stories are coming soon.

Thanks so much,Joan. These photos are great to see.
Everyone looks like they are having fun. What a good idea to include this man in our party!
Thanx Joan…nice to see the children playing!
