The President of the Tilton-Northfield Rotary Club, Don Carpenter, introduced Jeanine Mukarubega, the Executive Director of the RCEF (Rwanda Children Educational Foundation) as the guest speaker at Onions in downtown Tilton on Wednesday, October 7th. Jeanine deeply moved the Rotarians as she shared her personal story about Rwanda and her motivation for founding the group to assist impoverished children obtain an education, escape poverty, and develop leadership skills. Although the club already sponsors a fifteen year old secondary student, four members generously chose to individually support an elementary student as well.
